My Morning Jacket releases live EP
My Morning Jacket has released a new digital EP available exclusively at Apple's iTunes store, according to a press release.
Titled "Live at the Palms," the EP features the previously unreleased "Dear Wife" and the seldom-performed "Tonight I Want To Celebrate With You," which originally appeared on the band's 1999 debut, "The Tennessee Fire."
"Under the careful guidance and watchful eye of Ryan Pickett [MMJ's front of the house engineer], we have developed a highly pleasing method of subtle sensation!" MMJ frontman Jim James said in a statement. "It is to be enjoyed on a candle-lit bench, a secluded nook, or a sensuous dinner party."
In keeping with the "sensual and deeply personal" theme, the band mates have given the EP an "alternate" name in honor of Pickett: "Ryan Pickett Presents, in Association with Pickettmax Films: Candles and Panties '08-the iTunes EP-LIVE in Las Vegas! A Ryan Pickett Production." However, those wanting the new EP need only to remember MMJ Live and they will have no problem locating the EP at iTunes.
