Performing in support of their latest release, "Death Magnetic," Metallica packed Fresno, CA's Save Mart Center on Saturday night (12/13).

As reported by LiveDaily contributor Jim Harrington, the show included brilliant stage lighting, complete with spotlights that resembled coffins--in keeping with the cover design of the album--as well as a hefty dose of pyrotechnics, the heat of which could apparently be felt a dozens of rows back from the stage.

Fans can catch Metallica when they perform four more dates in California this month; after that they head east for the month of January.

Contributing photographer Tim Mosenfelder attended the show in Fresno this weekend, and here are some of his best shots.
