John Mayer, The Time join Grammy celebration

John Mayer will perform a one-hour concert at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live Dec. 3 following "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! Countdown To Music's Biggest Night," a televised musical special that will feature performances by past Grammy winners and nominees in addition to announcing award nominations in several categories.

Following Mayer's performance, the original members of The Time --Jerome Benton, Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Jellybean Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Terry Lewis and Monte Moir--will reunite for a performance at Club NOKIA, with DJ Mick Boogie at the turntables, according to a press release.

The evening's events are part of the grand-opening celebration of The Grammy Museum, a new 30,000 square foot exhibition of music history.
