Blues Traveler Maps Fall Tour Plans
Blues Traveler will return the road in October and November to play a mix of club concerts and festival events. The band has played few concerts to date in 2000, and has instead turned its focus to the recording of a new album.
No release date has been scheduled for the new album, but earlier this year, the band announced that it expected to complete recording before embarking on a full-scale tour.
Keyboard player Ben Wilson toured with Blues Traveler earlier this year and has been involved in the recording of the new Blues Traveler album. However, the band, which has been a four-piece for most of its existence, still has not announced that Wilson is a permanent addition to its line-up.
Blues Traveler is attempting to regain its footing as it recovers from the loss of founding bassist Bobby Sheehan, who died a year ago. Tad Kinchla, brother of the group's guitarist Chan, was named the band’s new bass player in November.
