Kid Rock joins Lil Wayne, Jonas Brothers at VMAs

Kid Rock has been tapped to perform at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, scheduled to air live Sept. 7 from Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles. The rocker is expected perform his recent hit, "All Summer Long," from his latest album, "Rock N Roll Jesus."

Lil Wayne and the Jonas Brothers also have been confirmed to perform at this year's show, which will be hosted by comedian/actor Russell Brand.

Britney Spears reportedly is in negotiations to perform at the 25th annual VMA show, which will air only one time in its original incarnation, according to a press release.

In other VMA news, Think.MTV.com, MTV's community for youth activism, will award one viewer a trip to LA to attend the 2008 ceremonies. Additional information about the "Do Good. Go to the VMAs" promotion can be found at the Think.MTV.com site.
