Contemporary country singer/guitarist Brad Paisley [ tickets ], who is in the midst of the mammoth "Paisley Party Tour," should be congratulated. He's not only shown some obvious stamina on the road, but he's also stretching beyond the traditional expectations of his genre with his upcoming album, "Play," due on Election Day (11/4).

According to LiveDaily writer Tjames Madison, "Paisley experiments with jazz guitar and even tries his hand at heavy metal" on the mostly instrumental album. And in keeping with what has become a signature aspect of the artist's concert experience, numerous guest appearances are in the mix; "Play" includes contributions from Vince Gill, B.B. King, Steve Wariner and the late Buck Owens.

In the meantime, Paisley will be busy focusing on the second half of his "Paisley Party" itinerary, which has him criss-crossing to locations throughout the Midwest and Southern States from now until mid October.
