New Beatles recording auctioned
A tape of an early Beatles recording session, believed to have been made in 1964, has been auctioned for more than $19,000, according to a BBC news report.
The 30-minute reel-to-reel tape, in which Paul McCartney and John Lennon are heard cracking jokes and breaking into giggles, contains Lennon and McCartney-penned songs as well as cover tunes.
"I'll Follow the Sun," "I Feel Fine," "She's A Woman," "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby," "Honey Don't" and "I'm a Loser," are among the songs captured on the recording.
The tape recently was discovered by the son of a man who had worked in the music industry. The auction house said the individual wanted to remain anonymous.
