U2 is scheduled to release its next album "All That You Can't Leave Behind" at the end of October, which will be preceded by the single "Beautiful Day."
The Associated Press reported that Garth Brooks has cancelled plans to turn his Nashville-area home into a tourist attraction. Neighbors didn't like the idea and Brooks didn't like that his home would be subject to renovation for fire exits and security cameras.
Pearl Jam has organized volunteers to man voting registration booths at its shows. The band sweetened the deal with an offer of free tickets to volunteers.
Jennifer Lopez ' new album is due in November.
Ocean Colour Scene singer Simon Fowler received medical treatment before his set at England’s V2000 festival on Sunday (8/20) due to a condition which makes him hyperventilate when nervous. Contrary to prior reports, he did not faint due to being intoxicated.
New York's experimental music club The Knitting Factory has opened a venue in Los Angeles.
