Axl Rose Signs With New Management Team

Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses are now managed by Irving Azoff and Andy Gould, the singer announced Thursday (3/27) via the Guns N' Roses website.

"We are very excited and look forward to working with them and hope our relationship proves beneficial for everyone, especially the fans," Rose said in a statement.

Azoff has long been one of the music industry's most powerful figures, representing such artists as The Eagles, Van Halen and Christina Aguilera. Gould, formerly a senior partner at management company The Firm, represents Rob Zombie, as well as Les Claypool and Primus.

Rose split with his longtime manager Merck Mercuriades in 2006. At the time, Rose placed the blame for his failure to deliver Guns N' Roses "Chinese Democracy" album during 2006 at Mercuriades' feet. The album--which Rose has been working on for more than a decade--still hasn't hit stores, and no release date has been announced.
