Rage Against The Machine's Fillmore Appearances Postponed Again
Rage Against the Machine--who cancelled two planned shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco after the band's co-headlining tour with the Beastie Boys was postponed--have postponed the shows' rescheduled dates.
The explanation for the latest postponement varies: according to published reports, a label spokesperson said that Rage frontman Zach de la Rocha came down with an undisclosed illness. However, both the shows' promoter and San Francisco radio station Live 105, which was to present the show, said that the dates were never officially on the books and are now postponed indefinitely.
The shows were originally scheduled to take place in July, but they were rescheduled for Aug. 21 and 22 after the tour with the Beastie Boys was postponed due to an injury suffered by the Beasties' Mike D.
Rage's Fillmore performances were to have been recorded for a live album that Epic Records hopes to release in November.
