Phil Lesh [ tickets ] and his ever-changing band of Friends--which this time will consist of John Molo, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring and Rob Barraco--will play multiple-night stands in five cities between Sept. 30 and Oct. 25, according to Grateful Dead Productions.

Tickets for the tour�s dates at New York�s Beacon Theater will go on sale through traditional outlets on Friday (8/11), and tickets to all but the tour�s Denver stop go on sale on Saturday (8/12). Lesh, the bass player for the Grateful Dead, recently wrapped up a co-bill tour with Bob Dylan, his second outing with Dylan in less than two years. Lesh has distanced himself from his former bandmates Bob Weir and Mickey Hart after a dispute late last year over how to go about digitizing the band�s vault, and will not join his former Grateful Dead bandmates on this year�s Furthur Festival.
