Phil Lesh And Friends Plan Fall Concerts

Phil Lesh and his ever-changing band of Friends--which this time will consist of John Molo, Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring and Rob Barraco--will play multiple-night stands in five cities between Sept. 30 and Oct. 25, according to Grateful Dead Productions.

Tickets for the tours dates at New Yorks Beacon Theater will go on sale through traditional outlets on Friday (8/11), and tickets to all but the tours Denver stop go on sale on Saturday (8/12). Ticket sales have already begun through Grateful Dead Productions GDSToo mail order program; details are available at the official Dead website.

Lesh, the bass player for the Grateful Dead, recently wrapped up a co-bill tour with Bob Dylan, his second outing with Dylan in less than two years. Lesh has distanced himself from his former bandmates Bob Weir and Mickey Hart after a dispute late last year over how to go about digitizing the bands vault, and will not join his former Grateful Dead bandmates on this years Furthur Festival.
