Elton John [ tickets ]'s long-running "Red Piano" extravaganza in Las Vegas will come to an end in April.

The show returned to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this week for a run that stretches through mid-month, and the final leg will include a dozen performances between April 7 and April 22. Tickets for the final performances go on sale tomorrow (2/5).

The larger-than-life "Red Piano" spectacular debuted at the Colosseum in February of 2004. It was originally booked for 75 shows over three years, but was expanded to 241 performances, according to John's website.

Meanwhile, the superstar is also getting ready to hit the road with Billy Joel for the "Face 2 Face" tour, which is set to launch March 2 in Jacksonville, FL. So far, the entertainers have 23 dates booked across the US and into Canada, including two-night stands in Anaheim, CA, and Toronto. Since last check, a June 1 performance was added in Ottawa, Ontario, and the itinerary is expected to expand periodically, as the outing is planned to run off and on over the next two years.

John and Joel will open the concerts with a series of duets, playing twin pianos and trading vocals, and then performing separately before joining once more for the grand finale, according to a press release. The shows are expected to include some of their greatest hits alongside a selection of rock-and-roll classics.

John and Joel first toured together in 1994, and their most recent "Face 2 Face" outing was a sold-out, 24-date trek in 2003. The Grammy winners are the most successful and longest-running concert pairing in pop history, according to a press release.
