LeAnn Rimes [ tickets ], who kicked off her 2009 tour earlier this month, has added another dozen cities stretching through fall.

The country/crossover star continues the outing tonight (1/29) in Wenatchee, WA, and she'll play scattered dates across the US and a few in Ontario, Canada, into October. The itinerary, listed below, includes newly added two-night stands in Peachtree City, GA, and Dallas, and festival performances in Winsted, MN; Marinette, WI; and Sweet Home, OR.

Rimes continues to support last year's "Family," which reached No. 4 on The Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The set marks the Grammy-winning singer's first time writing or co-writing every song, and she says she bared her soul in the material.

"What I've lived outside the whole fame and fortune world is real life, real relationships, hardships, pain and real honest emotion. That's where it's coming from," Rimes explained in her bio. "It is exhilarating to know that what I'm putting out there is really me as an adult and not me as a kid singing someone else's songs."

The record's current single, "What I Cannot Change," is up for a Grammy in the Best Female Country Vocal category, and a dance-remix version of the song is currently tearing up the dance-club charts. That track and other hits from "Family" are streaming at Rimes' MySpace page.

"What I Cannot Change" has also been turned into an inspirational book authored by Rimes and the song's co-writer, Darrell Brown. The 128-page literary work comprising text, photos and a CD of the song is due April 14.

Fans can also catch Rimes honing her acting chops on the small screen this spring. She spent the later part of 2008 filming a Lifetime network movie with co-stars Eddie Cibrian and Rosanna Arquette. The flick, titled "Northern Lights," is set to premiere March 21.
