Album Chart: Taylor Swift still sitting at No. 1
"Fearless," the latest set from country singer Taylor Swift , is once again the best-selling album of the past week, and will spend yet another week atop the US album chart.
With sales of about 90,000 copies--a 66% drop off from the previous week, according to Billboard--"Fearless" will log its fifth non-consecutive week atop The Billboard 200 chart. (Billboard bases its flagship chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail data.) The showing marks the first time since the Feb. 3, 2008 edition of chart that a No. 1 album has moved less than 100,000 copies.
Following at No. 2 with sales of about 77,000 copies is Beyonce 's "I Am ... Sasha Fierce," and close behind at No. 3 with sales of about 71,000 copies is Kanye West 's "808s and Heartbreak." The "Twilight" soundtrack sold 66,000 copies and moves up two notches to No. 4.
Nickelback , meanwhile, comes in at No. 5 with "Dark Horse," which moved about 64,000 copies, and narrowly edges out Britney Spears ' "Circus," which came in a couple hundred copies behind to wind up at No. 6.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Keyshia Cole 's "A Different Me" at No. 7, Jamie Foxx 's "Intuition" at No. 8, the "Now 29" hits compilation at No. 9 and the Target-exclusive "All Wrapped Up," a collection that features Christmas songs from a roster of acts, including the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus ; the set racked up sales of about 40,000 copies following a post-holiday discounted price, Billboard reports.
