Toby Keith takes 'Bad Guy' on the road next month
Toby Keith has started to assemble 2009 dates to showcase his latest chart-topping album, "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy."
So far, the country star has nailed down three stops in late January: Albany, NY; Peoria, IL; and Evansville, IN. Dates and venues are listed below.
Keith followed his "Biggest & Baddest" summer tour with the October release of his 14th studio effort, which is his seventh to shoot to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The performer produced and wrote or co-wrote every song on "That Don't Make Me A Bad Guy," which has spawned the No. 1 country single "She Never Cried in Front of Me" and the rising hit "God Love Her." Samples of those tunes are streaming at Keith's MySpace page.
His new set follows last year's "Big Dog Daddy," which includes the fastest-rising single of Keith's career, "High Maintenance Woman," as well as the hits "Love Me If You Can" and "Get My Drink On." In May, the entertainer topped the country charts once again with "Toby Keith's 35 Biggest Hits."
Fans who can't wait for Keith's live performances can catch him throughout the month on "Larry the Cable Guy's Star Studded Christmas Extravaganza" on the CMT network. Keith will also appear on NBC-TV's "Greatest Moments - Songs of the Season," Comedy Central's "A Colbert Christmas" and CMT's "A Toby Keith Classic Christmas." Details can be found at his website.
The singer/songwriter/entrepreneur is capping off a busy year filled with tour dates and work on his second major feature film, "Beer For My Horses," which is also running on CMT this month.
Last summer, Keith was ranked by Forbes as country music's No. 1 earner, with an estimated $48 million raked in over one year. He has sold more than 25 million albums in this decade alone, according to his website.
