Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake perform with Madonna in L.A.

Old flames Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake made "surprise" appearances at Madonna 's Dodger Stadium concert in Los Angeles last night (11/6).

The pair didn't interact with each other during the show, according to the Los Angeles Times. Spears appeared on stage to perform with the Material Girl on her third song, "Human Nature," in a concert that was delayed for three hours by technical difficulties.

"Half my stage is missing, which is why we're in the dark," Madonna told the crowd early on, according to the Times. "The absence of light makes it very hard to look into the audience eyes and that's what makes performing such a joy. So come close. And thank you for your understanding."

Well after Spears had exited the stage, Timberlake showed up to perform his duet with Madonna, "4 Minutes." According to E! Online, Spears, surrounded by bodyguards, left the stadium immediately after Timberlake's appearance.

Spears and Timberlake notoriously began a high-profile relationship in 1999 after working together in the mid-'90s on the sixth season of the Disney Channel's "The New Mickey Mouse Club." The relationship ended in 2002 amid tabloid rumors of infidelity on Spears' part.

Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet Tour," which kicked off early last month in New Jersey, continues tomorrow night (11/8) with the first of two shows in Las Vegas.

The trek continues through the end of the month, concluding with a pair of shows in Mexico City. Remaining dates are included below.
