In Flames finds 'A Sense of Purpose' in North America
Swedish metal outfit In Flames will return to North America next month to headline a club/theater outing.
The band is currently touring Europe through early November and will launch North American dates Nov. 6 in Montreal. The trek, which features support from metalcore act All That Remains, is set visit nearly 30 cities across the US and Canada through Dec. 10, when it wraps in Milwaukee. Domestic shows are included below and those overseas are listed at In Flames' website.
The Swedish rockers' new album, "A Sense of Purpose," surfaced in April and reached No. 28 on The Billboard 200. The band began supporting the set stateside on last spring's annual Gigantour, headlined by Megadeth.
In Flames' previous studio effort, 2006's "Come Clarity," has sold more than 400,000 copies worldwide and one of the album's tracks, "Take This Life," is featured on the new "Guitar Hero III" game.
In Flames is known as a pioneer of what has become known as "melodic death metal."The group, which has been around since 1990, has won three Grammis (the Swedish version of the Grammy Awards) and sold more than 2 million records worldwide to date.
All That Remains, which is currently co-headlining a US jaunt with Trivium, is supporting its fourth studio album, "Overcome," which dropped last month and debuted at No. 16 on The Billboard 200 (the band's highest debut ever).
