Album Chart: Young Jeezy's 'Recession' tops New Kids
Despite the rough economic times, Young Jeezy 's "The Recession" sold 260,000 copies during its first week in stores, enough to give the Atlanta rapper his second No. 1 album.
New Kids on the Block 's reunion album, "The Block," makes its initial splash at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart, moving 95,000 copies. Billboard bases its flagship US album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail reports.
The Game 's "LAX" falls one notch to No. 3 during its second week out, with 89,000 copies sold, according to Billboard, while Kid Rock 's "Rock N Roll Jesus" slips one rung to No. 4 on sale of 79,000.
Last week's No. 1 album, Slipknot 's "All Hope Is Gone," falls to No. 5 on sales of 75,000.
Rounding out the Top 10 are the Jonas Brothers ' "A Little Bit Longer" at No. 6, the "Mamma Mia" soundtrack at No. 7, Underoath 's "Lost in the Sound of Separation" at No. 8, Chris Tomlin's "Hello Love" at No. 9 and Lil Wayne 's "Tha Carter III" at No. 10.
