3OH!3 to support new LP with headlining dates
Electronica/hip-hop act 3OH!3 (pronounced Three-Oh-Three) will set out next month on a country-crossing headlining tour behind the group's July release, "Want."
The duo--Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte--kick off the trek Oct. 3 in Anaheim, CA, with a roster of venues ahead that includes everything from large concert halls to indoor skating rinks. The 29-city outing, which also features opening support from Innerpartysystem and the Chain Gang of 1974, will run through late November. Details are included below.
"Want," produced by Matt Squire (Panic at the Disco, Boys Like Girls), is the 3OH!3's second studio album and first with backing from a major label, Atlantic subsidiary Photo Finish Records, following last year's self-released, self-titled debut album.
The new set features lead single, "Don't Trust Me," co--produced by Benny Blanco (Spank Rock, Katy Perry), and streaming at the duo's MySpace page.
The two performers, both raised in Boulder, CO, but who attended rival high schools, formed the act in 2004 after meeting in a physics class at the University of Colorado.
"We combine hip-hop, rock, thug rap, country, classical, jazz, blues and all different kinds of music and try to make a little amalgam of all of them," Motte said in an interview with Denver weekly Westword last year. "Mostly, it's just important that we have fun when we do it."
