Pearl Jam Readies 25 Double-CD Sets From European Tour

Pearl Jam , via the band-sanctioned Rumor Pit website, has released more information about its plans to release live recordings from each stop on the band’s European tour. The Rumor Pit also reports that it is “likely” that similar soundboard recordings from the band’s upcoming North American tour will also be released.

The band plans to release 25 double-CD sets in late August through its fan club and through record retailers. Each double-CD set will sell for “about $10.98,” according to the Rumor Pit.

Pearl Jam’s European tour ended in tragedy when nine people died in a crowd crush at Denmark’s Roskilde festival. No CD from the band’s brief Roskilde set will be issued.

A question-and-answer segment posted on Rumor Pit says that the band does not care if fans copy and trade the official bootleg CDs once they are released.
