Album Chart: 'Mamma Mia' claws its way to No. 1
After staking out the upper realms of The Billboard 200 album chart for five weeks, the "Mamma Mia" soundtrack has finally clawed its way to No. 1.
The ABBA-fortified set sold 130,000 copies during its most recent week in stores, outdistancing Miley Cyrus ' "Breakout." The teen star's set sold 102,000 copies during its second week out to stay put at No. 2, according to Billboard.com.
Sugarland 's "Love on the Inside" slips from No. 1 to No. 3 this week on sales of 91,000, while Kid Rock 's "Rock N Roll Jesus" sold 90,000 copies and holds onto the No. 4 position.
Lil Wayne 's "Tha Carter III" sold 67,000 copies, and remains at No. 5 on The Billboard 200. Billboard bases its flagship album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail reports.
Rounding out the Top 10 are Coldplay 's ""Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" at No. 6, Lloyd 's "Lessons in Love" at No. 7, the "Camp Rock" soundtrack at No. 8, Rihanna 's "Good Girl Gone Bad" at No. 9," and Heidi Newfield 's "What Am I Waiting For" at No. 10.
