Alan Jackson to team up with Trace Adkins this fall

Alan Jackson [ tickets ]'s newest slate of "Good Time" shows this fall will feature assistance from fellow country star and "Celebrity Apprentice" finalist Trace Adkins [ tickets ].

The pair of veteran country singers will kick off a 17-city run together Oct. 2 in Fayetteville, NC. The outing will makes its way through the Midwest, Canada and ultimately to the West Coast before winding down in late November.

Both performers sport separate headlining schedules over the summer months and beyond. All current dates for both Jackson and Adkins are included below.

Released in March, "Good Time" is Jackson's 17th studio album, and follows a pair of chart-topping 2006 sets (the award-winning inspirational collection "Precious Memories" and the Grammy-nominated "Like Red on a Rose"). The new album reunites Jackson with longtime collaborator Keith Stegall, who produced or co-produced all but one of the superstar's previous albums.

"Good Time" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart, selling 119,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album's lead single, "Small Town Southern Man," topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart in March, giving Jackson his first No. 1 hit since 2004's "Remember When."

Adkins, who finished as runner-up to celebrity chef Piers Morgan on the reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice" last spring, is currently working on a new studio album, which he hopes to release in November, the singer recently told LiveDaily.

"We were trying to finish up the next studio album and then the 'Apprentice' thing came along and I didn't have time to finish [the album]," said Adkins.
