Beck [ tickets ] has expanded his lineup of late summer and early fall headlining dates as he builds a tour around his latest studio release, "Modern Guilt."

The singer/songwriter's new shows augment a previously announced slate of summer festival appearances, including an Aug. 22 slot at San Francisco's Outside Lands Festival, where Beck will appear with Radiohead for the first nighttime concert ever held in Golden Gate Park.

The performer's first headlining date comes a day earlier, with an Aug. 21 show in Reno, NV. The run extends into early October with a pair of back-to-back nights (10/2-3) in Chicago. New York indie-rockers MGMT will offer opening support beginning with Beck's shows in September. Details are included below.

Beck collaborated with producer (and half of eclectic duo Gnarls Barkley) Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton on "Modern Guilt," his eighth studio release and the follow-up to 2006's "The Information." The 10-track CD, which hit stores on Beck's birthday, July 8, clocks in at just under 34 minutes, and features guest vocal contributions from Cat Power on a pair of tracks.

The vinyl edition of the album, due in stores July 22, will include download codes for high-quality (320 kbps) MP3s "produced from a playback of the vinyl master," according to a press release.

The singer released a non-album cut, "Timebomb," as an iTunes-only download last summer. The song was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance category, an award that Bruce Springsteen ultimately won for "Radio Nowhere."
