Trisha Yearwood lengthens trip around 'Heaven'

Trisha Yearwood has tacked new dates onto the late-summer end of her current tour in support of her latest album, "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."

The Georgia-born country star will continue her summer outing July 11 in Mashantucket, CT. The new additions to the itinerary come in September, including a twin engagement (9/12-13) in Peachtree City, GA. All dates are shown below.

The three-time Grammy winner continues to support last year's "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love," her first studio set in two years. The album is her debut on indie label Big Machine Records, with whom she signed after ending her 16-year relationship with MCA Records last year.

The title track from the album peaked at No. 19 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, while the second single, "This is Me You're Talking To," hit radio stations in January. The video for the latter song is currently streaming at Yearwood's website.

The next single from the album, "They Call It Falling for a Reason," which was co-penned by Matraca Berg and Jim Collins, is due to hit radio July 14. "What I love about this song is that it's about falling flat on your face in a romance and it says that in a way that's funny," the singer said of the tune in a statement. "I love the imagery in the first line that says 'He had me spinning like a girl in a circus in a trapeze act.'"

Yearwood, a two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, burst onto country radio in 1991 with "She's in Love With the Boy." The Grand Ole Opry member has sold more than 10 million albums during her career.
