The Ting Tings arrive in the US for 'Nothing' dates
British indie-pop duo The Ting Tings have lined up a quick US tour centered on the group's upcoming appearance at Chicago's Lollapalooza Festival.
The pair--vocalist/bassist Katie White and guitarist/drummer Jules De Martino--will launch the nine-city outing July 22 in Washington, DC. Following the Aug. 2 Lollapalooza appearance, the band closes out the trek with an Aug. 6 show in Los Angeles. Details are below.
The duo is touring behind its debut studio album, "We Started Nothing," which hit stores in May. The album's 10 tracks were co-written by both of the band's members, and produced by De Martino.
The record propelled the pair to the top of the charts in their native England, with the album rising to the No. 1 position and the set's second single, "That's Not My Name," also claiming the top spot on the British charts.
Several songs from the pair's debut album are currently streaming on The Ting Tings' website.
The duo gained significant attention in the US when the song "Shut Up and Let Me Go" (the third single off of "Nothing") was featured in an Apple iPod advertisement in April.
