Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys saddle up for co-headlining tour

As part of its ongoing trek across North America, roots-rockers Los Lobos [ tickets ] will tackle a co-headlining tour this summer with Los Lonely Boys.

L.A.-based Los Lobos have several headlining dates ahead of them before embarking on The Brotherhood Tour with the Tejano-rocking Texans, including a three-day Canadian run that kicks off Friday (6/20) in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The Lobos/Lonely Boys connection launches July 18 in Portland, OR, and continues through the middle of August, touching down in 19 cities along the way. Details are below.

Los Lobos continue to support their 2006 release, "The Town and The City," which marks the band's 13th studio album. The self-produced set broke into The Billboard 200 and landed on several critics' list as one of the Top 10 albums of 2006.

In an interview with LiveDaily earlier this year, percussionist/guitarist Louie Perez said Los Lobos' upcoming projects include a children's album of Disney movie songs and a DVD concert/documentary that includes the band performing the album "Kiko" in its entirety.
