Lenny Kravitz returns to Canada this fall
Lenny Kravitz , who had to postpone several shows due to illness earlier this year, will make up Canadian dates in the fall.
The rock-and-soul singer's lengthy world tour is now in full swing, currently making its way around Europe through mid-August. In September, Kravitz will spend a week in Japan before launching a 12-date Canadian run Oct. 17 in St. John's, Newfoundland. An updated North American tour itinerary is listed below and overseas shows can be found at the performer's website.
Kravitz expects to be on the road for two years supporting his February release, "It is Time for a Love Revolution," which bowed at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, making it his highest debut ever. The multi-instrumentalist wrote, produced, arranged and played all 14 tracks on the set, as he has on all of his albums, according to a press release.
The new record is Kravitz's eighth studio offering and first since 2004's gold-certified "Baptism." So far, it has spawned the radio singles "Bring It On" and "I'll Be Waiting," and Kravitz's latest, "Love Love Love," which debuted on MTV earlier this month.
The deluxe edition of "It is Time for a Love Revolution" includes a DVD documentary in which Kravitz takes fans on a journey through the streets of his hometown, New York City, and discusses the inspirations behind the new album.
