Toby Keith's 'Biggest' tour getter bigger
Toby Keith continues to expand his "Biggest & Baddest Tour" ahead of next month's launch.
The trek, which is set to kick off June 19 in Birmingham, AL, now spans more than 30 dates across the US through mid-June. Since last check, three more shows have been added in California and two were tacked on in Washington. Keith will also cross over to Canada July 13 for the Craven Country Jamboree in Saskatchewan. An updated tour itinerary is listed below.
Country duo Montgomery Gentry, which is gearing up for a new album, will support the outing, along with newcomers Carter's Chord, Mica Roberts and Trailer Choir.
Earlier this month, Keith topped the country charts once again with his latest release, "Toby Keith 's 35 Biggest Hits." The two-disc set features 34 songs ranging from the performer's first No. 1 hit, 1993's "Should've Been a Cowboy," to his 2006 chart-topper "A Little Too Late." It also includes the superstar's latest single, "She's a Hottie," which is holding steady at No. 15 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and recently crossed over to pop radio.
Keith also continues to support last summer's "Big Dog Daddy," which was his third set to debut at the top of The Billboard 200. The record spawned the fastest-rising single of Keith's career, "High Maintenance Woman," as well as the hits "Love Me If You Can" and "Get My Drink On."
Fans will also be able to catch the singer/songwriter/guitarist on the big screen this summer. His second feature film, "Beer for My Horses," recently finished shooting in New Mexico and is due in theaters Aug. 8, according his website. The movie, written by Keith and country comedian Rodney Carrington, also features Willie Nelson and Ted Nugent.
