Beasties/Rage Tour Names Initial Support Acts
update: Stone Temple Pilots, Busta Rhymes, The Roots, No Doubt, Common, At The Drive-In and Queens of the Stone Age have been confirmed for support slots on the Beastie Boys /Rage Against the Machine "Rhyme & Reason 2000" tour.
Internet-only pre-sales for the first 10 confirmed tour dates concluded earlier today (7/7), but the tickets will begin to go on sale through traditional outlets on Saturday (7/8).
According to the tour's publicist, 15% of the total tickets for the shows were sold during 36-hour Internet pre-sale.
The tour's stops at amphitheaters will generally will feature three acts on the main stage, though some will feature a side stage. Stadium shows will run a bit longer--perhaps six hours--and will feature additional acts.
More dates will be confirmed soon. The tour is expected to make stops 30 North American cities by mid-September.

12 - Foxboro, MA - Foxboro Stadium (No Doubt, Busta Rhymes, At The Drive-In)
16 - Tinley Park, IL - The World (Common)
18 - Columbus OH - Polaris Amphitheater (Common)
19 - Pontiac, MI - Silverdome(No Doubt, Busta Rhymes, At The Drive-In)
21 - Indianapolis, IN - Deer Creek Amphitheater (Common)
