Pop-rockers Boys Like Girls [ tickets ] and pop-punk outfit Good Charlotte [ tickets ] are teaming to co-headline the "Soundtrack of Your Summer" tour in North America.

The outing, which will also include up-and-coming bands Metro Station and The Main, is set to kick off July 8 in Chicago and visit 30 cities across the US, as well as a couple of Canadian provinces, through late August. Venues include a mix of clubs, theaters and sheds. Details are listed below.

The hard-working Boys Like Girls [ tickets ] have toured Japan and the UK this year, and just finished a stint opening for Avril Lavigne in the US. The Boston-based quartet will complete another UK run before launching the "Soundtrack of Your Summer" tour.

Boys Like Girls continue to support their 2006 eponymous debut, which reached No. 55 on The Billboard 200 and spent more than 40 weeks on the magazine's Heatseekers chart, including three weeks at No. 1. The album has spawned pop hits "The Great Escape" and "Hero/Heroine," and the third single, "Thunder," is currently impacting Top 40 radio.

Good Charlotte [ tickets ], which recently returned from an international jaunt, is backing its fourth full-length effort, "Good Morning Revival," which surfaced last spring and snagged the No. 7 spot on The Billboard 200. That album has spawned Top 40 pop hits "The River" and "I Don't Want To Be In Love (Dance Floor Anthem)." The third single, "Where Would You Be Now," is scheduled to hit radio stations May 20 and is streaming at Good Charlotte's MySpace page.
