NOFX hammers out summer, fall schedule
Skate-punk icons NOFX , currently finishing up a tour leg through the Pacific Northwest, have mapped out an East Coast headlining run for later this year.
The veteran punk outfit heads across the Atlantic for a brief European tour after completing the current trek, and, following the overseas dates--which can be found on the band's website--the group will kick off a nine-city fall outing Oct. 13 in Providence, RI. All North American dates are shown below.
Released last November, "They've Actually Gotten Worse Live" is a 24-track CD and double-vinyl LP that was recorded over three nights in early 2007 in the band's adopted hometown of San Francisco. The set is the group's second live release, following 1995's "I Heard They Suck Live!!"
NOFX 's most recent studio work, 2006's "Wolves in Wolves' Clothing," was produced by Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore in Colorado Springs, CO. The 18-song, 30-minute set contains four songs from the band's recent "Seven Inch of the Month Club" series of singles: "Leaving Jesusland," "I'm Going to Hell For This One," "You're Wrong" and "You Lose Your Faith."
The latest set from the politically active band, who launched the anti-Bush website Punkvoter.com in 2003, also includes the songs "USA-holes" and "The Marxist Brothers," which singer Fat Mike described in a press release as having "a hip-hop beat with ska/new-wave guitar and a Beatles melody."
