Thievery Corporation plots summer shows

Trip-hop duo Thievery Corporation has lined up a short but sweet summer outing, with a cache of special guests including Gnarls Barkley , Ladytron and others.

The Washington, DC-based pair--Rob Garza and Eric Hilton--will kick off the run June 20 in Berkeley, CA. The outing will hit six cities in just over a week. Details are below.

The duo has lined up a number of notable names to make special guest or supporting appearances on the tour, including Gnarls Barkley, TV on the Radio , Ladytron, Los Amigos Invisibles , Bebel Gilberto, Seu Jorge, Federico Aubele and Turntables on the Hudson. The duo's most recent studio release was 2006's "Versions," a collection of remixes done by the pair primarily using other artists' material.

The outfit's most recent collection of all-original material, 2005's "The Cosmic Game," featured guest contributions from David Byrne, Perry Farrell, Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne and others. The disc debuted at No. 74 on the UK albums chart.
