The French Kicks take 'Swimming' to the road
The New York quartet kicked off the run last weekend, and more than 20 dates remain on the trek, which runs into the second week of June. The full schedule is included below.
"Swimming," which hit iTunes as a digital download on April 1, is the band's third studio album and first since 2006's "Two Thousand."
The new album, which the band produced on its own, is "by far the closest we've come to getting the sound we wanted," vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Nick Stumpf said in a press release.
"On this record, we hoped to capture the joy of friends playing together in a relaxed way," added guitarist/vocalist Josh Wise. "We used a lot of first and second takes and tried to preserve a sense of immediacy and discovery that comes from putting things down before you really have a chance to think too hard. It's bolder, and at the same time more intimate, than anything we’ve done."
