Rockers Bell X1 'Flock' to America
The band, which is currently trekking through Europe with Nada Surf, will visit a dozen clubs in the eastern US beginning May 16 in Boston. Major markets on the itinerary include Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Pittsburgh, New York City and Washington, DC. Details are listed below.
Earlier this month, Bell X1 wrapped a North American trek that saw the quartet sell out two gigs at New York City's Bowery Ballroom and appear on CBS-TV talk shows "Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," according to a press release.
The band is supporting its latest release, "Flock," which was officially introduced to US fans in February. The album, originally released in 2005, shot straight to No. 1 in Ireland and has since gone five-times platinum in that country on the strength of four Top 20 hits.
The US version on Yep Roc Records is enhanced with three live videos, an animated music video, two additional audio tracks, a photo slideshow and more. The full album is streaming at Bell X1's website.
Last summer, the group released the live set "Tour de Flock," which features a 13-track CD and 16-track DVD recorded at Dublin's Point Depot Club in December 2006.
