Verizon VIP Tour stars Natasha Bedingfield
Brit-pop singer Natasha Bedingfield will lead the lineup for the upcoming Verizon VIP Tour, which also features special guests Kate Voegele and The Veronicas .
The US outing is set to kick off May 21 in Myrtle Beach, SC, and visit venues from coast to coast through mid-July, including a string of House of Blues clubs. The itinerary is listed below.
Bedingfield, one of the UK's biggest female pop stars, is supporting her latest album, "Pocketful of Sunshine," which reached No. 3 on The Billboard 200 in February. The video for the title track premiered on VH1's "Top 20 Countdown" last week. That single and a few others from the record are streaming at Bedingfield's MySpace page.
The singer made a huge impression on US fans with her 2005 release, "Unwritten," the title track from which was one of the most played songs on mainstream American radio in 2006, according to Bedingfield's bio.
Voegele, who is currently on tour with Hanson, continues to back her debut effort, "Don't Look Away," which dropped last May and recently peaked at No. 27 on The Billboard 200. The week before the tour launches, the 21-year-old singer/songwriter will reprise her role as Mia on the CW television series "One Tree Hill." Earlier this year, she appeared on the show and performed several songs from "Don't Look Away," including the lead single, "Only Fooling Myself."
Australian twin-sister act The Veronicas expect to release their sophomore set, "Hook Me Up," in the US this summer. The album has already reached multi-platinum status and garnered two Top 5 singles down under, according to The Veronicas bio. It follows their 2006 debut, "The Secret Life Of ...," which cracked The Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on the Top Heatseekers chart.
