Robbie Williams Makes Light Of Oasis Feud, Sells Out U.K. Tour
LONDON--King of British pop Robbie Williams has said that he wants to call a truce to his ongoing media-fueled feud with Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher by having sex with Liam Gallagher.
He jokingly told Britain's Q magazine that a roll in the hay was the best way to resolve their ongoing argument. "We'd probably have sex. That's what this is all about isn't it? I want him to be grateful for it. Let's get it out in the open. I want to shag Liam Gallagher…"
Williams said that it was time to end it the feud. "I don't really know [how it started]. Something I said about his brother apparently. But maybe I should call a truce. I know Liam will feel that he can't back down, but maybe a truce is a sensible thing."
Noel has called Williams the "fat dancer from Take That" while Liam has labeled him "tubby arsed Williams." Robbie then retaliated by sending Noel a wreath after the release of the group's album "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants" with a card which read: "To Noel Gallagher. RIP. Heard your last album. With deepest sympathy, Robbie Williams."
The battle between the two musicians came to a head at this year's Brit Awards when Williams challenged Liam to a boxing match to raise £200,000 for charity; Gallagher declined.
The working title of Williams' third album was revealed in the Q interview as "Good Grief," and the track listing includes a duet with Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue called "Kids."
Meanwhile, Williams has proved why he is also the king of British concert tours by reportedly selling out all 243,600 tickets to his 21-date U.K. tour this autumn the same day they went on sale (7/3).
