Fergie [ tickets ] lived up to her title of "The Dutchess" of pop music in front of thousands of pre-teen girls who waited until 11 p.m. Saturday (3/29) to see their idol.

The diminutive star closed out Tempe, AZ's two-day Circle K Tempe Music Festival at Tempe Beach Park with a spot-on collection of songs from her debut solo album, "The Dutchess," a medley of Black Eyed Peas [ tickets ] tunes from her regular gig and a rather lackluster mash-up of covers, one of the only flaws in her 90-minute performance.

After a pre-show meeting with a boy whose visit was arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Fergie [ tickets ] opened the performance with the apropos "Here I Come," which includes lyrics from the Motown hit "Get Ready." Dressed in a white vest and white slacks, she arrived via a giant staircase in the middle of the stage as her dance troupe performed below.

Fergie offered a decidedly rock-flavored "London Bridge," as she seductively slithered up and down her male dancers, who were dressed as Buckingham Palace guards.

"I'm going to bring you back to my high school years, when I fell in love with all the wrong boys," Fergie said while introducing "Clumsy."

Backed by a full band, Fergie used the festival--which also included performances by the Gin Blossoms, Meat Puppets, My Chemical Romance, Nonpoint and Eve 6--to address tabloid rumors that she is pregnant with fiance Josh Duhamel's baby. She cleverly used the tabloid talk to segue into the Black Eyed Peas [ tickets ] hit "My Humps."

"So, hey, lately I've been hearing on the Internet that I'm pregnant," she said. "Can't a girl eat a good meal? I'd like to embrace the girls who have a little meat on their butts."

Before wrapping up the show with "Fergalicious," she served up a medley of Black Eyed Peas songs, including "Hey Mama," "Don't Phunk With My Heart" and "Where is the Love," as well as the mash up, which featured Paul McCartney's "Live and Let Die," Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog," Sublime's "Santeria" and The Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up."

Despite the unbefitting choice of covers, Fergie proved she doesn't need the Black Eyed Peas to headline a show.
