She Wants Revenge, Be Your Own Pet to lead Nylon Magazine tour
The tour, which also features indie rock bands The Virgins and Switches, is a co-production of music promoters Live Nation and "trend-setting fashion and culture magazine" Nylon, according to a press release.
The 36-city outing kicks off May 8 in Anaheim, CA, and will run through late June. Tickets tickets for the first shows will begin hitting the box office Friday (3/28).
"We are thrilled to be teaming up with Live Nation to bring four of the most cutting edge bands to our readers and music fans around the country," Nylon editor Marvin Scott Jarrett said in a statement. "Our magazine has always been about the fresh and the provocative and this tour embodies our mission to fuse music and style and bring it to the people."
New Wave-inspired electronic act She Wants Revenge continues to support its second album, "This Is Forever," which landed in stores last fall.
Tennessee-bred garage rockers Be Your Own Pet released their sophomore effort, "Get Awkward," earlier this month. In addition to its 2006 self-titled debut album, the band has released four EPs and several singles over the last three years.
New York's The Virgins continue to support "The Virgins '07," their debut EP from last year, while British rockers Switches released their second studio album, "Heart Turned to D.E.A.D.," last April.
