Eisley headlines spring trek

Indie-pop family band Eisley will play nearly 40 North American cities during its upcoming tour to support its latest album, "Combinations."

The outing, which launches April 1, begins and ends in Eisley's home state of Texas, and visits US cities from coast to coast as well as a couple of Canadian provinces. Indie-rockers The Myriad and Vedera will support the entire trek, and The Envy Corps is scheduled to appear through May 5. The full schedule is listed below.

Eisley broke into The Billboard 200 last fall with its sophomore set, "Combinations." The group worked on the record with producer/composer Richard Gibb, who is known for his collaborations with Korn and for scoring the recent "Battlestar Galactica" television series. A few songs from album are streaming at Eisley's MySpace page.

The new record follows 2005's "Room Noises," which marked Eisley's debut on Warner Reprise Records.

The Tyler, TX, quintet formed in 1997 when the DuPree siblings--guitarist Chauntelle, singer/guitarist Sherri, singer/keyboardist Stacy and drummer Weston--hooked up with family friend Jon Wilson (bass) and began playing gigs in their hometown. Stacy DuPree, who wrote Eisley's first song, was just eight years old at the time.

The band recently became a full-fledged family act when cousin Garron DuPree replaced Wilson on bass.

Without support from radio, Eisley has managed to build a solid fanbase through relentless touring. In addition to headlining its own gigs, the band has opened for the likes of Coldplay, Brand New and Snow Patrol. Eisley also made its television debut last August on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."
