Singer/songwriter Ben Folds [ tickets ] heads back to school this spring with another round of headlining dates on college campuses.

The singer, who toured East Coast campuses last year, will mostly canvas the Midwest and Pacific Northwest this time around, kicking off Feb. 29 in West Lafayette, IN, in front of a Purdue University crowd.

After a March 8 appearance at south Florida's outdoor Langerado Festival, Folds will resurface in early April for another leg of college shows, kicking off the back half of the trek April 2 in Springfield, MO. All dates are below.

Last October, Folds released "supersunnyspeedgraphic, the lp," a 12-song collection of original songs culled from his series of EP releases, b-sides, covers and film-soundtrack appearances. The remastered tracks include Folds' takes on The Cure's "In Between Days," The Darkness' "Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman" and a melancholy version of Dr. Dre's "Bitches Ain't S---."

Last year Folds released his first live DVD, "Ben Folds Live at My Space," which documents the singer's 2006 live webcast on MySpace.com, touted by Folds as the online service's first ever live-by-request web concert. A streaming clip from the DVD of Folds performing a cover of Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" can be viewed at his website.

Folds' most recent studio album was 2005's "Songs for Silverman," the follow-up to 2001's "Rockin' the Suburbs," and Folds' second effort as a solo artist after dissolving his former group, Ben Folds Five, in 2000.

Earlier this month, the Tennessee native Folds announced that he would perform with his hometown Nashville Symphony later this year, helping to open the orchestra's 2008-2009 season during a Sept. 7 special event.
