Axl Rose Jams With Former Guns N' Roses Guitarist

In what was evidently Axl Rose 's first public performance in seven years, the reclusive singer joined ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and his band The Starf***ers onstage at the Cat Club in West Hollywood, Calif., MTV reported.

The Guns N' Roses frontman reportedly joined the band to sing covers of the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" and "Dead Flowers" on Thursday night (6/22) before retreating to the bar.

Rose--who owns the rights to the Guns N' Roses name--reportedly has been working on a new album for the better part of the last decade, but no release date has been set. A long list of producers and musicians have been connected to the album, but few have been involved in the project for long.
