Eminem Takes Top Slot On British Album Chart
After several weeks in the top 5 of the Official U.K. Album Chart, rapper Eminem ’s “The Marshall Mathers LP” made the jump to the list’s top spot on Sunday (6/25). The album has been No. 1 on the U.S. charts for four consecutive weeks.
S Club 7 ’s second album “7,” which debuted on the chart at No. 1 last week, dropped two slots to No. 3. Moby ’s album “Play” jumped from No. 4 to No. 2, while Tom Jones ’ covers album “Reload” fell two places to No. 4. Rounding out the top 5 was Gabrielle ’s “Rise,” which topped the British charts in February.
Kylie Minogue’s new single “Spinning Around” debuted at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, giving the Australian singer her first No. 1 U.K. single in more than a decade. Slipping to No. 2 was “You See the Trouble with Me” by Italian dance group Black Legend. Holding steady at No. 3 was Darude’s “Sandstorm,” while Sonique’s “It Feels So Good” fell two slots to No. 4. "Babylon," a new entry from David Gray, entered the singles chart at No. 5
