Jimmy Page says Zeppelin tour possible

Led Zeppelin , who last month gave a much-lauded reunion performance in London, may take the show on the road this fall, guitarist Jimmy Page reportedly said today (1/28).

Page, who is in Japan promoting the new Zeppelin compilation "Mothership," said during a press conference that a reunion run could happen, but probably not before September. "[Zeppelin frontman] Robert Plant has a parallel project and he is busy with that until September," the Associated Press quoted Page as saying; Plant and bluegrass artist Alison Krauss recently unveiled plans for a tour in support of their joint album, "Raising Sand."

Speculation about a full-blown Led Zeppelin tour has run rampant since Page, Plant and fellow surviving co-founder John Paul Jones--along with Jason Bonham, son of late co-founding drummer John Bonham--announced plans to play a show at London's O2 Arena, marking their first full-length concert since the elder Bonham's death in 1980. Billed as a one-night-only affair, the two-hour performance was lauded by critics and fans alike, and fueled cries for the group to take the show on the road.

For his part, Page said he feels like the group might as well tour in the wake of the London concert.

"The amount of work we put into O2 was what you would normally put into a world tour anyway," he told the AP.
