Mary J. Blige tops first 2008 album chart
Blige's showing puts an end to Josh Groban 's five-week stint at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart with his holiday set, "Noel," which moved 178,000 units and slips to No. 3.
Up one slot to No. 2 is Alicia Keys ' "As I Am," which sold 193,000 copies. Billboard bases its album chart on Nielsen SoundScan retail reports.
The "Now 26" hits compilation moves up two rungs to No. 4 with sales of 98,000, while Chris Brown 's "Exclusive" jumps from No. 10 to No. 5 with sales of 87,000.
Rounding out the Top 10 are the Eagles ' "Long Road Out of Eden," Garth Brooks ' "The Ultimate Hits," Taylor Swift 's self-titled debut, Miley Cyrus ' "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus," and Colbie Caillat 's "Coco."
