Chuck Ragan plots shows with revived Hot Water Music

Singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan stays busy over the next few months with dates supporting his debut solo album, as well as reunion shows with his old band, Hot Water Music .

The Gainesville, FL-based post-hardcore outfit had announced its split in May of last year, with Ragan leaving to concentrate on his solo career, and the three remaining members carrying on as The Draft, releasing one album, 2006's "In a Million Pieces."

The reunion tour, currently consisting of four dates, kicks off Jan. 19 in Orlando, FL, followed by an appearance in Sayreville, NJ, and a pair of Chicago shows.

Ragan's solo tour, meanwhile, kicked off at the beginning of the month and continues Nov. 23 in Tampa, FL, with nine more cities on the itinerary before the singer's Hot Water Music commitments kick in. Dates shown are below.

Ragan's debut long-player as a solo artist, "Feast or Famine," was released in August. Produced by Ted Hutt (Bouncing Souls, Flogging Molly), the disc captures a more reflective side of the singer, who collaborated with his former and future bandmates on eight punk-oriented albums dating back to 1996.

"I think this is the most mature material that I've ever been able to do," said Ragan in a press statement. "I've gotten a little older and while I had a blast with all the yelling and the sweating and falling off the stage, this is who I am right now."

Hot Water Music plans to release a 24-track career retrospective, "Til the Wheels Fall Off," in January.
