Bruce Springsteen makes second date with St. Paul
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, who have a couple of weeks left on their highly successful North American tour, have already revealed their first US date of 2008.
The rockers sold out St. Paul, MN's Xcel Energy Center Friday (11/2) night and recently announced they will return to the venue for another show March 16. Tickets for the new date go on sale Saturday (11/10).
The Boss and company hit the road Oct. 2 for their first tour of North America and Europe in four years. Sold-out shows have prompted two-night stands in several cities, including Boston and Washington, DC, which are on the itinerary in the next couple of weeks. The tour continues tonight (11/5) in Auburn Hills, MI, and 2007 US dates wrap Nov. 18-19 in Boston. Details are listed below.
The band is set to begin a nearly four-week European jaunt Nov. 25. Information about those shows can be found at Springsteen's website.
The concerts include a good deal of material from Springsteen & the E Street Band's new album, "Magic," which surfaced Oct. 2, shot to No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart and then reclaimed the top position three weeks later. Lead single "Radio Nowhere" is also charting on the Pop 100 and is streaming at The Boss' MySpace page.
"Magic" is Springsteen's first new studio recording with the E Street Band since 2002's Grammy-winning, multi-platinum set "The Rising."
