Social Distortion [ tickets ] is getting ready to kick off its annual run of shows at House of Blues venues in the West.

Beginning Nov. 19, the So. Cal punk icons will play multiple gigs at HoB clubs in Southern California and Las Vegas through mid-January. In the midst of the residencies, the rockers will also visit Vail, CO, and Tempe, AZ. Many of the shows are already sold out, according to the band's website. The tour itinerary is listed below.

Social D had been set to follow its US performances with a five-date Australian tour in February, but the band recently pulled out of the Soundwave Festival, citing "circumstances beyond our control."

Frontman Mike Ness and company have been touring North America since spring, supporting the June release of their first career-spanning hits album, which broke into The Billboard 200 and reached No. 7 on the Top Independent Albums chart.

The retrospective, titled "Greatest Hits," covers three decades worth of material, from the early punk track "Mommy's Little Monster" to the 2004 radio hit "Reach for the Sky." The set's track-listing includes '90s mainstream singles "Story of My Life," "Ball and Chain" and "I Was Wrong," in addition to the band's cover of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire." It also includes the new song "Far Behind," which has been holding steady on modern rock radio charts.

Social Distortion's most recent studio album, 2004's "Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll," marked its first collection of new material since 1996's "White Light, White Heat, White Trash." It was also the band's first recording without founding member Dennis Danell, who died of a brain aneurysm in 2000.
