SoCal shows canceled in the wake of fires

The rash of wind-driven wildfires in Southern California--which reportedly have forced a half-million people to evacuate their homes and burned more than 1,300 structures--are beginning to take their toll on concert schedules.

So far, the canceled shows are clustered in the San Diego area, the region hardest hit by the fires.

San Diego punk/hardcore club SOMA has called off Wednesday's (10/24) planned Chevelle concert. As of press time, the club expected to open for business on Thursday (10/25).

House of Blues in San Diego has called off Wednesday's (10/24) planned Boys Like Girls / All Time Low show, as well as Friday's (10/27) Peter Frampton gig.

Earlimart 's planned Tuesday night (10/23) gig at The Casbah has been canceled.

The scheduled Tuesday performance (10/23) at San Diego Civic Center of Jersey Boys has been called off.

Also in the San Diego area, Mum's Tuesday night performance at Solana Beach's Belly Up Tavern has been canceled.

Additional cancellations are possible due to the threat of fire and the difficulty of traveling through the areas surrounding Los Angeles and San Diego, so ticket-holders should check with venues before traveling to shows.
