Keith Urban expands 'Crazy' tour into December
Keith Urban has added a handful of November/December dates to his "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy World Tour."
The country star, who continues his North American arena trek tonight (9/11) in Salt Lake City, UT, will be in the western US and Canada this month before taking a break in October. Then he'll return to the road with dates in Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee and Florida. Details are listed below.
Urban, who spent the spring in Europe and his native Australia, has been in the US since early June supporting his fourth studio album, "Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing." The tour behind the November release was postponed when the singer/guitarist checked himself into rehab for alcohol addiction, but the set still shot to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
So far, the record has spawned crossover hits "Stupid Boy" and "I Told You So" along with Grammy-nominated song "Once in a Lifetime" and the latest single, "Everybody," which is streaming at Urban's MySpace page.
"Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing" follows the performer's 2004 release, "Be Here," which also snagged the No. 1 spot on the country albums chart. That set produced No. 1 country singles "Better Life," "Making Memories of Us" and "Days Go By."
As he tools down the road, Urban may need to clear a spot in his tour bus for a few trophies. The singer is up for four Country Music Association Awards this year: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist, Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Stupid Boy." The Nov. 7 ceremony will air on ABC-TV.
