Briefly: Tim McGraw, The Crystal Method, Cheap Trick, Linda Thompson
Tim McGraw 's unexpected hit single, "If You're Reading This," which was not included on the original version of his latest album, "Let It Go," will appear on new pressings of the disc, the singer announced today (8/2).* * *
Electronic music heavyweights The Crystal Method will mark the 10th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, "Vegas," with the Sept. 18 release of a deluxe edition of the set. The two-disc collection features a remastered version of the original release alongside rare and live recordings and remixes by Paul Oakenfold, MSTRKRFT, Hyper and others.
The Crystal Method--Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland--have lined up a number of DJ performances over the next several months. Details are posted at the duo's website.

Cheap Trick will hit the stage at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl Aug. 10-11 to perform The Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" from start to finish in commemoration of the album's 40th anniversary. Joining the group for part of the performance will be Ministry founder Al Jourgensen.
"'Sgt. Pepper's' is certainly one of the greatest pieces of art ever created, so to be asked to participate in this momentous occasion is a great honor," Jourgensen said in a press release.

"Versatile Heart," the new album from veteran British folk-rock artist Linda Thompson , is due in stores Aug. 14. In a press release, her label, Rounder Records, describes the forthcoming set as "her most eclectic to date, exploring everything from rockabilly to chamber pop."
McGraw unveiled the song--a tribute to the families of fallen soldiers that he co-wrote with The Warren Brothers--during his May performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony; a remixed, newly mastered version of that rendition was then delivered to radio stations in mid-June.
